I think that the best part of a wedding is the ability to dress-up the way that you want to. You can go subtle or all out, Including what is worn on your head. What you ultimately decide to wear will depend upon your personal style which includes your hair and the wedding dress. This article will give you tips on choosing your wedding headpiece.
The headpiece or veil is sort of like the cherry on top of an ice cream sundae, it helps completes your wedding ensemble. There are important steps to go through when choosing one. Most importantly, you must know which way you will wear your hair and whether you will wear a veil or not. If you have your heart set on a specific headpiece you need to take it with you when you do the trail run at the salon for your bridal hair style. This way you will know if everything works together. For example, you could wear a headband. You can add additional embellishments yourself using flowers, rhinestones or even feathers. If your are aiming for the princess look, wear a tiara. What you decide to wear will be determined by your wedding theme and personal style.
Here are the common types of wedding headpieces:
Tiara - It looks like a small crown. It's perfect for the bride who wants to look like a princess on their wedding day.
Headband - This is band across your head. If your hair is up, then you should have something discreet. If your hair is long, then you can have something bolder. If your wedding is in the spring or summer, you should think of adding in some feathers. This will help remind the guests of the return of the birds, the symbol of new life. This also works if you want that Native American princess look. You could also use flowers instead of feathers.
Veil - This is the traditional wedding headpiece. A bridal veil can be worn with a tiara or headband. When a bride tells me she do not want to wear one, I remind her that is the only day she can wear one! As with all hair accessories, wedding headpieces can be used to highlight your best features. They should work together with your hairstyle, jewelry, and wedding dress to make you look and feel your best. Your husband and family will think you are the most beautiful woman in the world. Remember when purchasing accessories, choose items that you love, feel great in when you try them on and are within your wedding budget.
